Mr. Wilson
I was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. I will cheer for Notre Dame, but I am not a full Notre Dame fan! I root for Michigan! Go Blue! Once I graduated from St. Joseph High School, I moved to Muncie, Indiana where I attended Ball State University. At Ball State, I played in two sports, soccer and bowling. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in K-12 Physical Education and decided I wanted to teach in Indiana. I ended up getting a job as an instructional assistant but could not find a Physical Education position anywhere. I left Indiana and found a great position in Charlotte, NC within CMS. I was half time at Morehead Elementary and half at Steele Creek Elementary. After my first year, I was able to be placed in a full time position at Steele Creek. I received the Teacher of the Year award during the 2015-2016 school year. I was nominated again during the 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 school years. I am very happy being in my 19th year here at Steele Creek Elementary School.
Education:
Ball State University BS Physical Education (July 2004)
Teaching License Teaching Certificate North Carolina (August 2005)
